Red Dot For Glock 43x - If you need optics for your Glock 43X, I'm here to help. The modular optics, or MOS, version of the G43X has a factory-cut glass that accepts only microtrack-sized optics using an RMSc-type base. Not all red dot sights (RDS) are compatible.
Initially popularized by the Smith & Wesson Shield series, the RMSc footprint is now used on many firearms, including the SIG SAUER P365 series and the Springfield Armory Hellcat scope. Sights are more compact than standard pistol sights and are essential for slim guns like the G43X.
Red Dot For Glock 43x
I thoroughly researched the use of reflex sights on pistols and tried a few options on the market. To help you decide which red dot is best for your needs, here is my list of Glock 43X optics.

This optic will also fit the Glock 48 MOS pistol. While I try to keep the list up to date, I realize that I may miss a new product release. So feel free to provide information about anything not in the list in the comments section below.
Before diving into the details of each optic, here's a comparison chart of the features and prices of the currently available options.
MSRP prices for shield sights are estimates based on currency exchange and include UK imposed VAT.
Return Optics offers a hard-mounted red dot mini optic for your slim Glock pistol. Named the X3 TACTIX MPRD, the scope is constructed with a 6061-T6 aluminum body and multi-coated lens. Only the Swampfox Sentinel beats it in terms of durability (scroll down).

The X3 TACTIX MPRD is a fully manual optic with 10 levels of red dot brightness. Levels one and two correspond to night vision, while the rest of the brightness levels correspond to the Mk1 eyeball in lighting conditions. The automatic shut-off function starts after 12 hours.
A light transmission return of 99.5% is claimed due to the high-density glass and multi-layer coating. The lens layer reduces reflections, improves clarity in low light and provides scratch resistance.
The company has a simple guarantee: if it ever fails, send it back and Riton Optics will send you a new one. You don't need to register the product, you don't need any paperwork, and you don't need to be the original buyer. The company aims to process any return within 48 hours. That kind of service is hard to beat.
The optics have a suggested retail price of $299.99. The scope is relatively new, so you should buy it directly from Ryton. When it hits the market, I'm sure we'll see discounts at regular retailers.

Shield Sights is the longest running manufacturer of micro red sights for pistols like the Glock 43X. Currently, the company offers two basic models: RMSc and SMSc.
Made in England, the RMSc uses an aluminum body with a polymer lens to display a red target. Shield sites do not mention the type of aluminum used for the body.
The G43X uses an anti-reflective coating on the shield sights lens to reduce glare when aiming. Polymer lenses are used in many reflex sights, usually to reduce manufacturing costs. However, some report that the lenses are more prone to scratches.
You can buy this scope with either a 4 MOA or an 8 MOA dot. For me, I prefer 4 MOA, but 8 MOA jumps out at you. For close-range defensive shooting, the larger dot isn't a bad choice, so choose what you think will work best for you.
Concealed Carry Showdown: Can The Glock 43x Mos Compete With The Glock 19?
The shield does not recognize how many brightness levels the scope can use. Instead, the point automatically adapts to lighting conditions.
Shield offers a 7-year warranty on the electronics in the RMSC and a lifetime warranty on the remaining components.
As Shield is an English company, buying directly from the company requires a currency conversion from US Dollars to British Pounds. Also, purchases are subject to VAT or value added tax. At the time of writing, the scope's recommended retail price excluding VAT is £300. After adding currency conversion and VAT, the price is approximately $472.98 plus overseas shipping.
Another Shield product, this unit has a similar look but has a few new features. The most obvious change is that the SMSc uses a polymer body instead of aluminum.

Shield also redesigned the lens. Now you get a polymer lens with a special quartz hard coating. You can completely replace the polymer lens with a glass lens.
As with RMSc, SMSC, which automatically adjusts brightness, is always on. When mounted on a Glock pistol, the sensor measures ambient light and changes the relative brightness of the red dot.
The SMSc can be purchased with a 4 MOA or 8 MOA reticle. It has the same 7-year/unlimited warranty as the RMSc.
With a quartz polymer coated lens, the SMSc has an MSRP of $346.85 including VAT. The glass lens upgrade costs an additional $126.13, for a total of $472.98. It costs the same as RMSc.

Alternatively, you can try to get one from a US-based seller. Right now, however, the only retailer that carries them is Springfield Armory. The company's asking price is $299, but they're sold out and there's no expected stock date.
If you don't already know, SIG SAUER is now an optics manufacturer. The company manufactures everything from rangefinders to high-performance binoculars. One of its latest additions is the Romeo Zero RDS, which fits the Glock 43X and other slim pistols.
The Romeo Zero is made with a polymer body and lens. That goes hand-in-hand with the fact that it's lightweight—about 0.4 ounces—according to the company's specifications.
For durability, I prefer a 6061 or 7075 aluminum body, however, polymer has proven to be a durable material for firearm parts. I also like the glass lens. However, polymer is a proven material for optics, so as long as you don't abuse it, you should be fine with this scope.

The SIG uses a motion activation system to engage the red dot. The system seems to work well and I don't mind relying on it.
The brightness of the space is controlled manually. With Romeo Zero you get 8 manually adjustable brightness levels. Two models are available: one with a 3 MOA dot and another with a 6 MOA dot.
One of the highlights of this figure is its price: $219. Buying online brings the total cost under $200 with free shipping. This is the most affordable deal on this list.
Reader Mike W. wrote about Romeo Zero compatibility with the G43X MOS. Emailed me. He said the mounting screws that come with the scope are longer than a Glock pistol. This reflects a problem I encountered when trying to mount the Romeo Zero on the Springfield Armory Hellcat.

I'm trying to track down a set of replacement screws. It has suggested to me that these M4-0.70x8mm flathead screws are a good replacement, but I have yet to confirm this.
If you run the Romeo Zero in your Glock 43X MOS, can you let us know what modifications or alternative bolts you use?
Sentinel is tough and can take a beating. The Swampfox body is made from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same thick metal used in forged AR bottoms.
For the lens, Swampfox uses multi-coated optical glass to resist fog, water, mud and scratches.

Also, the Sentinel is the only watch on this list with an IP rating: a standard rating system for measuring water and dust resistance to electronics and other devices.
The Sentinel has an IPX7 degree of protection. That means it can sink to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. No other optician offers anything similar.
Swampfox offers RDS in two models: one is fully manual with 10 brightness levels, and the other is a constant mode version with stepless adjustable, automatic brightness levels. I have the fully automatic version and it works as advertised.
The photo sensor samples ambient lighting and adjusts the 3 MOA red dot almost instantaneously. In actual use, I found it to work perfectly.

Swampfox offers a 50,000-round warranty on the Sentinel. In other words, if you have a problem with the first 50,000 rounds of live fire, it will be fixed. If you fire 1,000 rounds a year, you're backed by the company for the next 50 years. However, I bet the company is willing to accept any manufacturing defect regardless of the number of wheels.
Due to the incredible popularity of the Sentinel, the commemoratives sold out quickly. However, they are available here at a discount.
